In accordance with the TASL By-Laws, a full description of the election rules and guidelines are to be provided at least thirty (30) days prior to the start of elections. 

2010 EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE NOMINATIONS FOR PRESIDENT AND SECRETARY ARE NOW CLOSED

NOMINATIONS WILL BE SUBMITTED THROUGH THE "2010 EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE ELECTIONS" PAGE ON THE TASL WEBSITE

BEGINNING APRIL 14TH, 2010.

THE ELECTION PROCESS WILL TAKE PLACE FOLLOWING THE CLOSE OF THE NOMINATION PERIOD AT THE APRIL TASL BOARD MEETING.

A summary of the TASL By Laws that pertain to the election process are as follows:  

• The Corporation shall have an Executive Committee, which shall consist of not less than four persons, and shall always include the President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.

• Regular election of the Executive Committee shall be held annually during the month of April. 

• The offices of the President and the Secretary shall be elected in even years.

• The nominee must be a registered player in the Triangle Adult Soccer League.

• Upon closure of the nomination period, the Officers shall be elected by vote of the Division Representatives. 

• No member of the Board may be elected to serve two positions on the Board of Directors (as Division Representative and/or Officer) and thus have more than one vote on the Board of Directors.

• Each Officer shall hold office for a two year term, beginning on June 1 and ending on May 31.

• The Vice President and Treasurer positions will be elected in odd years. 

• Division Representatives serve a one year period, and are elected annually to the TASL Board of Directors prior to the beginning of the fall season. 

• Election results will be posted on the website once verified after the conclusion of the election.
